Self-Proclaimed "Harsh Critic" Raves about Embassy Suites Concord - 2010-01-28 |
Embassy Suites Charlotte/Concord Golf Resort and Spa
The following is a letter received by our GM regarding a recent group that was at our location for a family reunion.
Dear Mr. Crawford,
I am writing to compliment and thank you and your staff for the marvelous job they did in helping me put on the Flagg Family Reunion. In particular, Traci Burnett, Dawn Wells, and Dawn Lineberger were truly a pleasure to work with. They helped me get everything planned and organized, and kept me well-informed. All three went out of their way to make our event run smoothly, and they really made me look good. I fielded compliments all weekend.
Our reunion banquet was simply outstanding. Everyone raved about the meal and said it did not taste like “banquet food.” As a special treat, the chef prepared my grandmother’s bread pudding for our dessert. The servers were very attentive and were more than gracious when we took advantage of their good natures to press upon them to take dozens and dozens of group pictures.
The whole family commented on what a great place your hotel was for this year’s reunion. With the tough economy, we had a much smaller turnout this year than in year’s past, but my cousins remarked on what a good value your hotel offers. The free buffet breakfast and manager’s reception provided perfect opportunities for our group to get together informally and socialize.
You have done a phenomenal job of hiring, training, and managing your staff. Without exception, everyone was courteous, helpful, and asked if they could do anything else for us. I assure you, I can be a harsh critic and am generally not one to gush, but I would not hesitate to highly recommend your hotel to anyone. Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth A. Flagg
