I’ve been with the Embassy Suites in Concord, NC since November 2006; two months prior to its opening. I’ve also been a licensed Esthetician since 2001. I am passionate about the Spa industry as a whole because it’s about EDUCATING guests on their OVERALL health and wellness. I have the greatest job and the honor of working with some of the best professionals in our field. We all are working together to achieve one goal; to provide the best experience to every guest and to live our own lives to the fullest. I’m from a very small town in Nebraska. Yes, I’m a Cornhusker! I moved to North Carolina in 2003 and love it. I am happily married to my best friend. We have a beautiful little girl who is our true inspiration and has helped us rediscover life in a whole new perspective.
Nina – Spa Guest Coordinator
I have a passion for the salon and spa industry and feel it’s where I’m most comfortable. I have over six years experience working within the industry, and hope to ensure everyone that comes to Spa Botanica is truly satisfied! I have been told many times that I have a bubbly personality. I love to live life to the fullest, and keep a positive attitude under all situations. Outside of working part-time at the spa, I am a full-time college student which keeps me busy. I am originally from England, and have lived in North Carolina for the past 23 years. I have been a massage therapist for the past 6 years and am absolutely in love with what I do. It is my passion to help you through touch to distress and help you relax reducing tension and stress to improve every facet of your life. Spa Botanica is my tranquil oasis where we can begin your unique journey together. Although I enjoy deep tissue and Swedish massage my specialty is Lomi-Lomi – a deeply relaxing massage incorporating long flowing meditative strokes and slow passive stretching, allowing for a total mind and body experience…come and experience it for yourself!

I was formally trained in Massage Therapy at Florida College of Natural Health where I graduated best in class. I am classically trained in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, and Reflexology; I have continuing education in Aromatherapy, Hot Stone, & Reiki. Throughout my years as a massage therapist, I have gained extensive knowledge and experience in body treatments focusing on hydrating and distressing the body. I have worked for 5 star resorts in Florida before taking my talents and years of experience to the Embassy Suites in Concord, NC.

The greatest benefit of working at Spa Botanica is when a guest leaves a treatment saying “Wow! I feel so relaxed”. I take pleasure in massaging guests with acute or chronic problem areas to relieve pain or to help unwind and I have been told that my hands are a “gift from God”. I am passionate about health, fitness and well being. Since moving from my native NY in 1998 to attend massage school, I have embraced the Southern laid back style. During my free time, I try to keep up with my daughter, trail run and road or mountain bike, so I can relate to the aches and pains from working and playing too hard and try to help fix them!

I graduated from The Edmund Morgan School of Neuromuscular & Massage Therapy in Cornelius, NC in 2004. Massage is truly an art form, of which I am proud to share. I am passionate about health and well being; to help people break through to a new level of awareness about their body. Throughout my years of massage, I have been able to absorb practices ranging from deep tissue to relaxing hot stone therapy. I joined the Embassy team in May 2010. Spa Botanica is always pushing for excellence and that is the one of the many reasons it is such a pleasure work there.

I graduated from Southeastern Institute. I have a passion for Swedish and Pre-Natal massage. I utilize my knowledge and massage skills as a massage therapist to provide a unique treatment for any type of services we offer to help you get the best Spa experience. Eleanor – Esthetician
I attended Wilford Academy and after graduation I attended Cristine Balmy for Esthetics graduating in 1986. Since then I have worked in all high end spas and salons. I have taken extended courses in my field to offer more advanced services to my clients. My specialty is clinical facials and I have worked for one of the top plastic surgeons, the late Dr. Gerald Verdy. What I enjoy most is seeing results and making my clients feel as comfortable as possible. I enjoy relating to my clients and educating them on skincare tips and at-home products.
Lori – Spa Guest Coordinator
I’m a licensed Esthetician who loves to analyze skin, extract impurities, and perform facials to help you relax and look years younger. Education is important to me, learning about chemical peels and the best way to unearth your radiant skin, is the key to achieving that healthy glow and the main reason I love my job. I relocated from Montana with my two beautiful girls. In my free time, I enjoy home decorating, painting and I just starting running again with my two furry four-legged friends.
Nancy – Esthetician
My main objective is to help men and women look and feel their best. I have developed a genuine passion for skin care and a sincere desire to help others. I have worked in the skin care industry for several years and gained extensive experience with comprehensive training in products, facials, chemical peels and microdermabrasion. During this time, I have helped clients find solutions to a variety of skin care challenges with positive and healthy results.
Desiree – Cosmetologist
I’m Desiree Flowers and I’m so excited to be part of the Spa Botanica team! For the past 14 years I have been a cosmetologist and my favorite part is cutting hair! The thrill of changing someone’s appearance for the better and making them smile before they walk out of the salon is my ultimate goal. I’m originally from New Jersey, but don’t hold that against me, Charlotte’s a great city! I have a big family and two furry friends. Learning new skills, cooking and reading are my favorite things to do and I’m in school part-time at CPCC undecided on a major since I love being a stylist.
Tina – Cosmetologist
I have been in the hairstyling business for 8 years now and LOVE being able to transform my clients’ hair into something they can truly be happy with. I have had so many unhappy clients walk through my door and leave feeling confidant, enthused, and 100% committed in loving their new hair. I listen to my client’s concerns and needs, I do not take off three inches when you say one, use the color black when you want dark brown, or texturize hair that does not need to be textured. I guarantee my work. That is something that my clients appreciate in a business where looking professional and feeling good about yourself is a necessity.

I am a native to Charlotte and attended UNC-Charlotte as an Art Major focusing on Photography. I have also worked in the Salon/Spa industry since 1999 from Customer Service, Salon Manager, to Area Supervisor. While I enjoyed that part of the Salon & Spa, I decided to get my Cosmetology license so I could enjoy my real passion which is doing Hair, Nails, and Skincare. I specialize in Highlighting/Hair Cutting, Special Styles, Manicure/Pedicures, and Customized Facials. My goal is for every one of my guests to feel and look great when leaving Spa Botanica! I studied at Regency Beauty Institute with products including Redken, Wella, Sebastian, and Bioelements. I also have continuing education in Pevonia, Jane Iredale, Framesi, Pureology, Alterna, Dermalogica, and Skinceuticals.
Ashley – Nail Tech
Excellence, spiritual wellbeing, integrity and humility are a few words that mold who I am as a person and my work ethic! I believe in a life full of hope, joy and serenity. I take care of my clients the way I would welcome a guest into my home! My senior year of high school I graduated with my license as a Nail Technician. I have worked six years of my life doing nails while going to school and I can truly say I have had the honor of pampering people, while learning many lessons from those who sit in my chair.
